Morela interviews Sabrina Deutsch Salamon about her research on trust and the advantageous effects that nurturing manager trust in employees may have on organizational performance. Sabrina proposes that employees who feel trusted by their managers think more about how to achieve organizational goals in a manner that does not hurt the organization, rather than about how to maximize their personal objectives with little regard for the organization.
Dr. Sabrina Deutsch Salamon ( firstname.lastname@example.org ) is an Associate Professor in the School of Administrative Studies at York University, Canada. She earned her PhD in Organizational Behavior at the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia. Sabrina’s research interests include organizational trust, citizenship and deviant behaviors, and group dynamics. Her work has been published in several academic outlets including the Journal of Applied Psychology and the Journal of Organizational Behavior.
