The mission of the Social Media Committee (SMC)
is to produce and promote Internet-based materials and resources to better showcase the activities and scholarship of the OB division to the division’s members and to the public.
- Produce content: We identify and/or create materials that the division’s membership and the public would find relevant and interesting. For example, noteworthy scholars might be interviewed, and these interviews would be recorded for conversion into online videos.
- Promote content: After identifying resources or creating materials, we distribute these along channels that will get them noticed. This includes the OB division Listserv, online groups where OB practitioners frequent, Facebook (OBSocial), Twitter (@AOM_OB), AOMConnect, and other relevant online outlets.

|Somayeh Bahmannia received her PhD in Management from the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand. Prior to joining Edith Cowan Univeristy as an Assistnat Professor, She was on the faculty of the University of Otago. She studies the influence of humility and authenticity on followers counterproductive and innovative behavior. She has published articles about the counterproductive outcome of leader humility; the influence of feeling trusted on followers’ detrimental outcomes. She has served as a reviewer of the International Journal of Human Resource Management, Academy of Management of meeting, and Academy of International Business meeting. She was the recipient of the Distinguished International Student Graduate Scholarship Award, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, and Otago University Doctoral Scholarship award. Her work has appeared in journals such as the Journal of Business Ethics and the Leadership Quarterly.

|Mike Johnson worked for sixteen years full-time in the non-profit world before going back to graduate school to get his PhD at Michigan State University in 2006. His research focuses on how to enhance collaborative work (especially in groups and teams), social identities, and emotions and moods in the workplace. He is currently an Associate Professor in the department of Management and Organization in the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington. He teaches the core Organizational Behavior classes for both the day-time and evening MBA programs, as well as various executive education courses and a PhD seminar. He serves on the editorial boards of the Academy of Management Journal, the Journal of Applied Psychology, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes. He is a member of the Academy of Management, the American Psychological Association, the Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and the Organizational Behavior Teaching Society.
